The Arctic Monkeys
The Arctic Monkeys have become one of my favorite bands. You might know them from brief hit single I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor, but that song isn’t the best portrayal of their style. The Arctic Monkeys are from the UK, and they have a certain attitude and swagger to their songs. I can’t tell if it’s from the lead singer’s thick British accent or his punch-you-in-the-mouth lyrics. One thing is for sure, they can write fast paced, edgy, melodic, and sometimes dark songs that keep me listening. I have been listening to their latest album “Favourite Worst Nightmare” on AOL CD Listening Parties all day today - and you should too. Their album is the third one from the left in the navigation, and will probably only be there until Sunday night. Let me know what you think.
