7 Days Till Awesome
Transformers comes out next week on the Fourth of July. You better believe I’ll be there. This should tide me over until another favorite cartoon from my childhood, Thundercats, heads to the big screen.
Pictures from Juniper Lane Show
I had a great time at the Juniper Lane show this past Saturday at the usual Clarendon venue: Iota Club & Cafe. The picture above was a mistake that turned out kinda cool…Check out the set to see the rest here.

Drop Tower Rides Shut Down Across the Country
I wouldn’t normally bring attention to this news story, but it’s relevant since I was just at King’s Dominion last weekend. A horrific story just came out a couple days ago about a 13 year-old girl who had her feet cut off when she rode the Superman: Tower of Power in Kentucky. This happened just a few days after I had written about a similar ride being one of my favorites when we went to King’s Dominion. In response, amusement parks around the country, including King’s Dominion in Doswell, VA, are shutting down drop tower rides. I’m not 100% sure how the ride works, but from this picture that I took, it doesn’t look like the one at King’s Dominion would have any cords involved to cause this sort of injury. I hope the amusement park industry verifies that all their rides are safe, because according to Theme Park Insider‘s injury report list, incidents seem to happen pretty often.
