If you didn’t know – Arctic Monkeys is one of my favorite bands and they’ve released a new album recently.  I’ve embedded their first single below, which is – as you can guess – awesome.  Enjoy!

WJFK to Become 106.7 The Fan

with one comment

For the second time in four years the radio station that hosts my favorite morning talk show, The Junkies, has changed formats and station name to 106.7 The Fan.  The good news is that the Junkies will keep their morning time slot.  The biggest impact is that a great show, Big O and Dukes, is axed.  The Junkies said that Oscar (Big O) will not be hosting a show anymore, but working instead behind the scenes, while Chad (Dukes) will be hosting the afternoon show with former Redskin Lavar Arrington of all people.  Should be an interesting combination.

The new show will feature WaPo’s Mike Wise and GMU’s basketball play by play voice Bill Rohland.  I really enjoyed Mike Wise’s coverage of The Caps during their amazing playoff run, so hopefully it translates on the radio.

New Lineup:

5:00-10:00AM: The Sports Junkies

10:00AM-2:00PM: Washington Post columnist Mike Wise and George Mason Basketball play-by-play man Bill Rohland

2:00-6:00PM: Former Redskins linebacker Lavar Arrington and Chad Dukes
